I've been writing for years, and I currently have three novels completed
and several others started. Jenny's Legacy is my debut published novel.
Over the years, I've kept the wolf from the door with a variety of jobs; any extra money
goes for books, flowers or chocolate.
My loves include the man I married in 1986, my feline twins, the little dog we
rescued from the pound, Reiki, herbalism, coffee with friends, and quantum physics. And anything chocolate!
I haunt bookstores, new and used, and my biggest delight is finding an author I haven't
yet read.
The author I hold in the most awe and esteem is Diana Gabaldon.
I write with a collection of angels, butterflies, and dolphins arrayed around my
computer. One of my most prized possessions is a tiny silk rose in a hand-carved wood vase that's almost sixty
years old. I've chosen to use a red rose as my motif.
To all readers, I extend a heart-felt thank-you--I'd be nowhere without you. To aspiring
writers, I advise "don't give up." Jenny's Legacy was begun in March 1999, and went on sale in January 2006.
Many parts of it were written by getting up an hour early in the morning, but it was worth all the sacrifices.
I also write non-fiction under the name of Sandra Smith. I've been published in national
and regional magazines, as well as on the Internet.
The picture below is the one the publisher used in my book, so it's not quite as old as I am
now!
